Florida Distance Learning Association
If you are an administrator, faculty member, instructional designer or technologist, student support specialist, or other distance learning professional seeking to advance the delivery of distance or online education, we invite your participation in our nonprofit professional association Florida Distance Learning Association (FDLA).
You will be in good company at FDLA. Our membership comprises distance educators from a broad spectrum of industries, including:

FDLA members share knowledge and resources within the community and with other organizations committed to advancing distance learning technologies and practice.
Our Mission
Fostering community and amplifying thought leadership in distance learning, FDLA aims to:
- Establish a network of people whose focus is to educate, create knowledge or communications, provide guidance or programs related to digital, online, and distance learning technologies;
- Collaborate with educational institutions, cultural centers, community groups, service organizations, and government agencies;
- Share knowledge, experiences, and information concerning strategies and technologies for the advancement of distance learning or betterment of education, the community, and local economies.
Our Board
The FDLA is led by an active group of educational, nonprofit, and corporate professionals dedicated to helping the organization grow. The Board of Directors meets regularly as part of multiple committees for conference planning, administrative, governance, and publication related business.
Annual Publication
The Florida Distance Learning Association Journal is the official journal for the organization. The journal is Open Access, free-of-charge to facilitate the sharing of the latest research and best practices in the distance learning field. Articles accepted to the journal are peer-reviewed.
The journal is published once a year after the conference. Submissions are accepted all year. Articles

Conference
The Florida Distance Learning Association’s (FDLA) Conference is the premier, annual event for distance learning professionals in Florida. It is an exciting and informative program that brings together distance learning practitioners.
This event allows attendees to learn about relevant topics from many different points of view, including multiple keynotes, panel discussions, poster sessions, research briefs in online learning, and vendors exhibiting an array of distance learning technologies and services. This conference is for K-12 and higher education administrators, instructional designers, training and distance learning professionals, and faculty from both public and private online schools/programs. Attendees actively participate, contribute, and present. This conference is an opportunity to share ideas, network, learn about distance learning programs and products, and gain a better understanding of the landscape.
