Award-winning higher-education expert with 20+ of global leadership experience. My experience is at the intersection of leadership, curriculum and learning experience design, teaching and training, as well as people, event, process, and project management. I am an artificial intelligence (AI) enthusiast and a committed supporter of UNESCO's goals for sustainable development. My research, practice, and advocacy focus primarily on the role of chief online education officer (COEO) in higher education. As CEO of a small consultancy practice, I help higher-ed institutions bring onboard and develop their first COEO, beginning with calibrating that C-suite position to set up the new online leader for success from the start. I also provide custom support at all pre- and post-COEO hire stages, helping institutions create, operate, and sustainably scale up quality online programs. Most importantly, I am working on creating a home base for COEOs to be able to more easily find one another and collaborate in research, practice, and advocacy. I also serve on the board of directors of the United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) as a way to give back to my field and promote quality in the administration of online education. In that context, I produce the annual USDLA National Distance Learning Week (NDLW) conference, a free and virtual event celebrating distance learning in K-12, higher ed, telehealth, government, and industry. I am looking for a mission-compatible institution where I can serve by leading some or all aspects of digital strategy. I would like to promote equitable access for all, foster innovation and creativity, drive quality, enable sustainable growth, advance research by and for chief online education officers, and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to prepare tomorrow’s global innovative leaders and creative problem solvers.
