Linda Dickeson, Distance Learning Manager for the Lincoln Public Schools in Lincoln, Nebraska, has been an applications training specialist helping educators and students develop skills in technology solutions since 1987. She has provided all levels of training in support of teacher productivity and curriculum integration and has completed a 75-hour course to become and Adobe Education Trainer. As an author, educator, and trainer, Dickeson believes in more than just skill building—she emphasizes learning to use technology tools effectively in the classroom with training relevant to educators.
Besides her expertise in videoconferencing technologies, Dickeson specializes in teaching educators and students to use Adobe InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Premiere Elements software. Her publications have included the CLICKstep Teacher Training book series (published until 2013), with titles on Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop Elements, and Adobe Premiere Elements. She currently has a book in the Amazon Kindle store entitled “ePUB Essentials for InDesign Rookies.”
As a workshop leader and speaker, Dickeson presents at numerous state, regional, and national conferences including ISTE, TCEA, FETC, TIES, ITEC, METC, NETA, NDLA and USDLA. Dickeson also has conducted workshops by invitation in multiple states and in Canada. She is a past president of NETA (Nebraska Educational Technology Association), served as the Executive Director for many years, and was on the Board of Directors for 18 years. Dickeson is the current Executive Liaison and a Past President of the Nebraska Distance Learning Association, and has been on NDLA’s board of directors since 2010. She is a co-chair of the exciting Nebraska blended learning initiative called BlendEd. Linda holds a master of education degree in instructional technology and has been an Adobe Education Leader since early 2004.
